What kind of schooling does a dermatologist need?

They are doctors.

1. Attend a four-year college (preferably with a pre-med program), if not just take lots of chemistry, math, bio

2. attend a medical school for another 4 years

3. Spend up to 5 more years in a residency with a dermatologist

I wanted to be a dermatologist when I was in high school, but its not for me!What kind of schooling does a dermatologist need?
You'll need either an MD or DO. Quite frankly, if you decide to spend that much time and money for your post secondary schooling, find another specialty that pays you more. You will spend just as much time in school as an oncologist will. Why not make the big money instead?
