So i went to the doctor to ask for a dermatologist...?

At first she asked me what i wanted and i said, ';i want to see a dermatologist'; and she said, ';ok'; so she asked me questions and i answered but then she left and never came back...


I don't get it?!


She did asked for my number..


Has this happened to anyone, if so, what happens next? Is she gonna call?So i went to the doctor to ask for a dermatologist...?
i had the same problem last year, it turned out that i had to go to the hospital to see this dermatologist and it was because of waiting lists etc that i didn't recieve an appointment with a dermotologist until 2 months later. but the best thing you can do is ring your doctors just to check that they have referred you and that you are definately going to recieve an appointment at some stage.So i went to the doctor to ask for a dermatologist...?
What you wanted was for the doctor to refer you to a dermatologist.


If you have a skin issue that you feel the medical practitioner should refer you to a specialist like a dermatologist then I don't get it why you weren't given one. The doctor could have recommended a good one or have said to you why or why not you should see one.





I'm as surprised as you about that attitude.
You should have asked someone in charge of scheduling appointments to see a dermatologist. Not just go to a regular doctor and tell them to get you a dermatologist.
Just go to a dermatologist? Why would you go to a doctor if you want a dermatologist?
No, this sounds like bad customer service. Just go back and try asking a different person.
