What does it mean when a product is 'recommended by dermatologists'?

Many skin care products all boast that they are 'recommended by dermatologists'. Are there any guidelines as to what these products contain or what there performance is?

Any insight would be appreciated. What does it mean when a product is 'recommended by dermatologists'?
when a group ';recommends it'; = they were paid for their opinions

and professionally they may agree that the product has ingredients that are KNOWN

for helping this or that condition.

but I (they) would never use the stuff

all the bestWhat does it mean when a product is 'recommended by dermatologists'?
All it means is that someone (or possibly more than one) calling theself a ';dermatologist'; agreed to recomend it's use. They could be the worst dematologis on the planet, and they are compensated so their opinion means as much as me telling you to buy said product.
