Dermatologist v. Hormone specialist?

I'm in my mid twenties and suffer from acne (and not just when it's that time of month). I'm also trying to get pregnant but have very irregular periods (obviously the likely cause of my problems). Should I see a dermatologist? Do they treat the cause of acne or just the symptoms?
