Oh no. You only have to go to the dermatologist once for that. She/He will write you a prescription and you just have to go and pick it up. Usually they WILL suggest that you make a follow up visit in about a month to see if your face has cleared up. I never did that and suffered no consequences. If you do see that it's not working for you though, definitely make a second appointment and have them suggest another product.





Just an FYI: your face will get worse before it gets better. It will break out more, be more red, and peel a lot within the first month. This is completely normal and I suggest that you stick with it for at least 2-3 months before you decide if it's working for you or not.
