Dermatologist while breastfeeding?

Hormones aren't being very nice to me at times. First the acne because of pregnancy, that led to a few craters, now more acne because of the hormones due to breastfeeding. So I made an appointment with a really good Dermatologist near by. Do you know if it's safe to use any of the steroid medications he may perscribe, while breastfeeding? If so, any thing any one of you would like to recommend? Any face washes and moisturizers? Thanks in advance!Dermatologist while breastfeeding?
I have horrible facial skin, and when I finally broke down and asked my doctor about it, she said to try Eucerin Cream. I tried it and it smoothed out my skin really well. Try not to use very much soap when you wash your face, rinse really well, and pat your skin dry really lightly. Then take just a little bit of the Eucerin and lightly massage it into your skin. Make sure you do it every day and night so that way you get the full benefits.Dermatologist while breastfeeding?
i've never found anything better than ProActiv Solution. not sure how safe it is re: breastfeeding, but i'd guess it's at least as safe as steroids.
On Monday call Motherisk and get access to one of the best sources of informtion in the world on safety during pregnancy and lactation. Or you may wish to see which treatments are suggested and then discuss it with the counsellor though that may require two trips to the doctor if he isn't willing to phone in a script once you decide what you want.

If you dial a 10-10 plan it will cost less than $2

Motherisk's Home Line - (416) 813-6780 - for information about the risk or safety of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, herbal products, chemicals, x-rays, chronic disease and infections during pregnancy. [This is a toll call to our Toronto call centre. Callers may have to wait up to 10 minutes to speak to a counsellor.]
