Has anyone used a acne medication from a dermatologist that works good and doesn't dry skin out?

If you want medications that won't dry your skin out, then you need to buy a set of things. Just using the medication alone won't refresh your skin, you need to buy a oil-free MOISTURIZER.

Go to Sephora and/or Clinique for further info and help.

Basic things:

1. cleanser

2. toner

3. moisturizer / gel

4. acne cream

6. sun block.

SUN BLOCK IS IMPORTANT. depending on where you live, the amount needed varies. Ask a professional at the mall around you. IE SEPHORA and CLINIQUE.Has anyone used a acne medication from a dermatologist that works good and doesn't dry skin out?

You may be using too much medicine. Most medicines only require a pea size amount for the entire face. Best thing to do to avoid dry skin with any medication is to wait 20-30min. after washing your face. If you don't wait 20-30 min. you will need more medicine and this will dry/irritate your skin. Apply medicine to entire face and moisturize right after that with moisturizer of your choice. If it is still too dry you can try to back off to using the medication every other day and still moisturize on the days you don't use the medicine. If it is still too dry apply plain old petroleum jelly or aquaphor (very thin layer) over medicine. These will not clog pores (I know, hard to believe) or cause breakouts. I've been doing this for years. Or I sometimes just use aquaphor under eyes. More moisture helps prevent wrinkles.
Hello,

I started using a medication called KLARON about three months ago. It's a lotion that needs to be applied twice daily (I use it when I wake up and before I go to bed). My skin was never bad to begin with. I might have gotten one or two blemish's each month. But I haven't had any problems since I started using it. My face never get's too dry. I would recommend it to anyone.

One thing to be careful with is, if you don't wash your hands after applying it to your face - your hands might get a little dry.

Hope this helps.
glycolic skin tonner never drys the skin
Use Pro-Active solution it really works !!!!!!
i use Differin cream. it's definetely not as drying as the gel. probably the best thing to do is to make sure you moisturize, especially since it's getting cold. i had the same problem that you do. what i do is after i get out of the shower, i don't completely dry my face and dab on a little of my favorite moisturizer. i like Clean and Clear Dual Moisture or something like that, anyway, it fights breakouts while moisturizing, and it makes my face feel tingly and soft. give it a try.
