I have struggled with acne over the past 6 years, and yet have not found anything that really gets my entire skin clear. I have very oily skin, and have tried almost everything you can get from the drug store, I even ordered pro active and that didn't work for me either. The past few days I have been considering visiting a dermatologist, but I am not sure if that is a good decision. I heard that some of the things they prescribe will have bad side effects.Should I visit a dermatologist?
Hi I have the same problem, trying to clear that skin and keep it clear.
You can try to go to the doctor just to see what they have to say and you don't have to use what they recommend, but i went and they dave me medicated cream which i use sometimes. My next step was to go to Macy's or cosmetic store with my acne and see what they have to say start new system ( pro-active not helping me either), because battling and hiding my acne on my own is just no end to it.
I wondering all those people with clear skin , how do they do it. ???Should I visit a dermatologist?
- Drink 8 glasses of water per day
- Avoid junk/processed food, and eat 5 fruits and vegetables per day
- Exercise a few days per week for 20 minutes consecutively
- Do NOT touch your face during the day and get your hair off your forehead as it may be oily which will clog your pores
- Use this routine in the morning: Cleanse, tone, moisturise (with oil-free product) and wash your face before bed time
- Exfoliate your face a few times per week as this removes dead skin cells
- During school/work, you can use oil-absorbing sheets (you can buy it cheap from the pharmacy or supermarket)
My hisband gets onto me all the time about wanting to go too...
He has perfect skin ad this is what he does....
Dont buy expensive cleaners or prescriptions just do this every day:
Get a bar soap, prefferably a mans, dial, irish spring....something that doesnt have a moristurizer in it.
Dont scrub, just wash your face with a face towel every day, hot water to open your pores, and cool water to rinse.
Every day, and it worked!
