after using some harsh face products including a topical steroid medication, my basically perfect skin turned into mild-moderate acne and tight and dry and oily within one weeks time . my dermatologist said this is a coincidental onset of both seborrheic dermatitis and acne rosacea . this sounds like BS . what do you think ? and does anyone know whats wrong ???Is my dermatologist totally full of it?
If you had perfect skin, why did you go to a dermatologist? With perfect skin, using harsh products will ruin your skin. Get off the harsh products and go back to the routine you had that gave you perfect skin.
I think your dermatologist went a little crazy with the steroids for some dry skin. Go back to your normal routine and put extra moisturizer on your forehead. Is my dermatologist totally full of it?
You can never be sure what steroids wil do. Just be patient and go back to regular routine. I got seb. derm. around eyebrow and on eyelid and used shampoo with selenium sulfide like some of Selsun Blue and Head %26amp; Shoulders variations make and it went away in less than 2 weeks. Now every spring and fall it may kick up but as soon as I see flaking begin I use them and am fine.
BYW it was a doctor who first told me about this.
BTW again. Oiliness is due to dryness. Your skin's trying to return to normal. It shoud level off. Sound to me like this Dr. was a bit aggressive with his treatment.
